Shelves-I need some in my bathroom
That's all I have for now. I love the look of the crates. If we decide on shelves and it's early enough I'm sure I'd be able to gather enough free wood from craigslist, etc to make this craft pretty cheap.
One questions- Would you like to decide and vote before Christmas or after?
I know i'm crazy but since this is my first craft to team host I wanted to get the the wheels moving in our brains and see if we can have it planned before Christmas. Crazy? :)
Here are my thoughts:
Necklaces-I know you already did it but maybe you'd like to have a repeat.
timholtz.typepad.com (doesn't the web address make you think of Arrested Developement..."Steve Holtz!"...anyone?)
For necklace design, I was thinking very similar to last time where you could make it chunky, plain, whatever. Lindsay and I could provide lots of options. However, I do think for this one you will all have to come with a little bit of your own stuff/own inspiration to make it something your exstactic about.
I have one apron that I like the style...like/not love. So I could bring that for a template.
I'm not in love with any of the pictures of the headbands but you get the idea.
We could make them for ourselves or our kids.
That's all I have. Give me your thoughts. I thought if it's possible it might be awesome to decide before things get too hectic with Christmas. Thoughts on that?
Sorry for the lack of info! Lori and I have been working on our ideas of how to put together the advent calendar. Here’s our basic plan:
- Cupboard doors – these can be painted, you can put burlap over, what ever you want.
- Cup hooks – these also can be painted.
- Muslin pouches – to hold the treats/treasures
- Tags, Numbers, and all sorts of embellishments. (Don’t go buy anything, but if you have stuff on hand feel free to bring it.)
- Also we want to put together all our ideas for what to put in the bags, so be thinking of some ideas to share.
Hopefully you can envision this.
Please comment and let me know if you think you will want your cupboard painted or not. Also what color you would probably do. This isn’t a commitment, I’m going to be picking up the doors and I need to try to decide the best way to have them ready for the 16th. Thanks!
